Insurance
All vehicles come with full comprehensive insurance, which covers you from the costs of repairing the hired vehicle and also any other costs to repair third party vehicles and property.
In the case of an accident you are only liable for the cost of the excess amount. The excess amount is determined on your age and which Vehicle Excess Reduction Option package is selected. When renting a campervan from Moo Moo Campers you are required to take one of the following Vehicle Excess Reduction Options, in all cases we strongly recommend customers take our ”Peace of Mind” Cover (Option 1) offering to ensure complete peace of mind when touring around Australia.

Important:
If you chose ”Run the Risk”, ”Some Worries” or ”Less Worries” Cover please note the following:
- The Bond/Excess is pre-authorized on your credit card for the duration of the rental
- The average cost for a windscreen chip is AU$65.00 and a new windscreen AU$375.00
- The average cost for a tyre replacement is AU$150
- Damage to the roof or underbody of the vehicle is not covered
- You may be liable for extra costs while your vehicle is off the road for accident repairs
- You will be liable for damage even if it is caused by a third party. Only the ”Peace of Mind” Cover Option 1 will give you peace of mind while you travel.
Note:
”Run the Risk”, ”Some Worries” and ”Less Worries” insurance options do not cover tyre & windscreen/ window damage, underbody & overhead damage and single vehicle accidents.
Any damage caused to the interior of the vehicle is not covered by any insurance.
”Peace of Mind” insurance covers damage to tyre & windscreen damage, all window damage, underbody & overhead damage and single vehicle accidents.
